Members of the newly formed Do Something Club at Wheeler Avenue School successfully completed their first community service project. For their first project the club sponsored a food drive and collected cans of food worth more than $1,137. The students donated the food items to the Holy Name of Mary Church’s food pantry where it will be distributed to needy families in the community just in time for the holidays.
The Do Something Club was formed by faculty sponsor Lisa Smaldon to create a culture of volunteerism and community spirit. Congratulations on a job well done!
