Meredith Brosnan, assistant superintendent for business, was honored in the category of education for her tireless efforts to benefit the district’s students and community at Hempstead Town’s Annual Pathfinder Awards ceremony.
Hempstead Town Supervisor Kate Murray presented Brosnan with her testimonial plaque as she was lauded for her distinguished work. “Let’s thank the Pathfinders, the selfless dedicated women here today because their dreams are to make life better for all of us,” said Murray, who holds the distinction of being the first woman elected town supervisor in Hempstead’s 370-year history.
Superintendent of Schools Dr. Adrienne Robb-Fund, Board of Education trustee William P. Stris, and others were on hand for the ceremony in Hempstead Town Hall. “In recognition of extraordinary leadership, dedication and commitment to students, the school district and community, the Town of Hempstead is privileged to recognize Meredith Brosnan,” said Michele Sparaccio, Town of Hempstead Office of Communications administrative officer, who read the biographies of all 10 honorees. The Pathfinders Awards are part of Hempstead’s 2014 Women’s History Month celebration program.
