Ms. Lisa Smaldon's fifth-grade class participated in a Recycled Art Contest to showcase their artistic talents and their concern for the environment. The students created unique art projects using materials normally thrown away in the trash. In addition to expanding their creative abilities, the students also learned a valuable lesson on protecting the environment. Congratulations to the following winners: 1st place: Maham Khan, 2nd place: Rhema Pressley, 3rd place: Alexa Marinez and Honorable Mentions: Aadam Alli, Caroline Koheler and Caden Swezey.
