Collecting Cans for a Good Cause

The sixth grade Student Council at Willow Road School organized a project to benefit those less fortunate. The entire student population was encouraged to collect canned goods, which were then donated to local food pantries for distribution to families in need. The Student Council members volunteered to count and organize the collected canned goods and more than 1,170 cans were donated. The class that collected the most received a trophy recognizing their humanitarian efforts. Mrs. Romeo's sixth grade class was awarded this year’s trophy.
