The Willow Road School's first and second grade students had their field trip come to them. Erik's Reptile Edventures, a mobile live show, presented a hands-on educational and rare experience for these classes. Reptiles are an evolutionary grade of animals including turtles, crocodilians, snakes and lizards.
During the show, the students had the opportunity to learn about a selection of reptiles from different parts of the world. A Water Lizard, native to Southeast Asia who gave out some kisses, a Red Tailed Boa Constrictor, a South African Bull Frog, a Green Tree Frog and an Iguana were all part of the show. There was even an American Alligator named Miss Wally.
Without a doubt, the highlight of the program was a giant nine-foot Albino Burmese Python called Twinkie. It took 12 to 15 students to handle this extraordinary creature. This amazing in-school field trip was educational and entertaining.
