Excitement filled the halls of Willow Road School as students, faculty and staff celebrated the 100th day of school.
In celebration of the event, kindergarten students participated in different learning activities that pertained to the 100th day. Enhancing the Common Core Learning Standards curriculum, teachers created 100 Day Centers which were learning stations for students that included hands-on activities focused on literacy, math, writing and reading, and all related to the number 100.
First-grade students recognized the special day by dressing, as they believed they would appear at age 100. Students filled their classrooms donning wigs and glasses, while other students sported canes and old-fashioned clothing.
