It was a proud moment at Howell Road Elementary School as this year’s candidates for student council confidently delivered their speeches before the entire school, hoping, if elected, to make a change in the world.
While each of the candidates presented a compelling speech, sixth-grader Jada Alleyne was elected president and fifth-grader Emmanuel Kasiotic was elected vice president. Howell Road teachers Mrs. Bradley, Mrs. DiBona, Mrs. Kelly and Ms. Vitulli facilitate the student council.
True to their promise to change the world if elected, the Howell Road Student Council will kick off the year with a JDRF Diabetes Campaign. Congratulations to both Jada and Emmanuel and to all the candidates who ran for office.
