Students at James A. Dever Elementary School enjoyed the opportunity to participate in their first PTA sponsored READ distribution. The students eagerly gathered around tables filled with books of all genres trying to select their free book to own and take home.
The distribution of books serves to promote the students’ love of reading. The selections included both fiction and nonfiction books including: Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, Little Women, Bright Eyes Brown Skin, Holes, and the Junie B. Jones series.
While the students thoroughly enjoyed searching through the books, their real excitement became apparent when they selected the perfect book to call their own. A special thank you to the PTA for their generosity.
