Every year, in the midst of holiday shopping and the excitement of the approaching New Year, Howell Road Elementary School is filled with the sounds of children singing.
Students, parents, administrators and teachers gathered together on the final day of school before the holiday vacation to participate in Howell Road's traditional sing-a-long.
The sing-a-long provided a wonderful opportunity for everyone to come together to celebrate the holiday season with a wide variety of traditional holiday music. It also allowed students to use their common language of music to bring everyone together to celebrate and appreciate their diversity. Students in kindergarten through fourth grade, dressed in their finest attire, raised their voices and shared their gift of song, a gift we all can appreciate and enjoy not only during the holidays, but all year long.
