Students in Lisa Smaldon's fifth-grade class at Wheeler Avenue School had the opportunity to demonstrate their creativity and recycling skills by participating in a Recycled Art Contest. The students created art projects using materials normally thrown away in the trash while, at the same time, learning a valuable lesson on the importance of recycling. Congratulations to the following winners: first place winner Maham Khan, second place winner Rhema Pressley and third place winner Alexa Marinez, Honorable mentions were awarded to Aadam Alli, Caroline Koheler and Caden Swezey.
