Willow Road and James A. Dever elementary schools welcomed New York State Sen. Dean Skelos to see firsthand how students are using the new microscopes, Smart Boards and computer software for which he had secured funding.“Thanks to Senator Skelos and his advocacy for state aid for Valley Stream UFSD Thirteen, we were able to purchase the brand new microscopes for all four of our buildings,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Adrienne Robb-Fund to classroom students. Dr. Robb-Fund, with Board of Education President Jeanne Greco Jacobs and trustee Frank Chiachiere, accompanied Sen. Skelos as he toured classrooms in both buildings. “I am pleased that the additional state aid provided to the district was used for science and technology education,” said the senator in his address to the students. “I appreciate the opportunity to visit and see firsthand how you are using the new equipment to support your education.”
