On Sept. 3, there was a sense of excitement in the air as new and returning students were welcomed back to school by faculty and staff. As the buses arrived filled with eager students, they were greeted by their principals and teachers who escorted them into school.
At Howell Road School, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Adrienne Robb-Fund, Principal Frank Huplosky and Board of Education President Dr. Sean Douglas spoke with students and parents offering best wishes for the start of the school year. Once the school day began, parents were invited to enjoy a breakfast provided by the PTA to learn more about the organization and were encouraged to become members.
At the James A. Dever School, the kindergarten students quickly settled into their classrooms, getting acquainted with their new teachers and meeting their fellow classmates.
