Students at Willow Road School participated in the eighth-annual Halloween WonderWalk. WalkAmerica is the March of Dimes largest fund-raising event and WonderWalk is modeled after WalkAmerica. It is specifically designed for children and enables educators and parents to provide children with the opportunity to understand the value of assistance to others in need. The March of Dimes promotes WonderWalk as part of their ongoing efforts to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects and infant mortality. Students, dressed in their favorite costumes, paraded around the block for this worthy cause. Parents were also invited to march along with the students. A member of the March of Dimes staff was present at the WonderWalk to collect donations and thank everyone who participated.
