In anticipation of the 100th day of school, students at James A. Dever School tracked each school day beginning with day one. On February 27, kindergarten students could be heard throughout the halls singing their 100th day song. In preparation for the 100th day of school, students utilized their math skills and practiced counting by ones, fives and tens. They also participated in a variety of activities including collecting, sorting, and counting 100 items. As a culminating activity, the students gathered together to celebrate this memorable day. Special placemats and colorful hats were made by the students to be used during this exciting event. It was both a wonderful learning experience and a celebration that was enjoyed by the students.
